President Viktor Yuschenko has assured G7 ambassadors of constitutional and democratic settlement of the political crisis in the country, the presidential press service said.
During his meeting with the ambassadors, Yuschenko expressed his confidence that Ukraine will find constitutional way to settle current situation despite decisions taken on new coalition or new government.
“I’d like to emphasize that our key strategies of internal and external policy won’t be harmed,” he said.
The president also confirmed stability of the strategic external political course of Ukraine to European and NATO integration.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Verkhovna Rada deputy of the Our Ukraine People’s Self-Defense Bloc faction Borys Tarasiuk considers that possible collapse of the coalition may entail failure of Ukraine’s strivings for NATO.
The European Party, Narodnyi Rukh Ukrainy and the Motherland Defenders Party call on the OU-PSD and the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc to retain the coalition.
On September 2, the parliamentary faction of the Our Ukraine People’s Self-Defense Bloc decided to quit the coalition.
