The French Presidency has been awarded a 0.25 for reiterating support for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, but for not explicitly mentioning HIV/AIDS or support for past commitment to the Global Fund with regards to HIV/AIDS. The G8 supports the Global Funds implementation of a “reform agenda to improve oversight, accountability, and effectiveness,” in order to reassure donors of the Global Fund’s ability to manage resources and to “encourage non-traditional donors and the private sector to provide resources to the Global Fund.”
