Italy: Migration
Prospects
Italy will likely seek immediate resolution for the mass migration, however there have already been clashes between Italy and other members in the European Union about how to deal with the issue. France and Italy have come to an understanding to reinstall some state control over their own borders, yet some members feel that this action is violating the Schengen Agreement. At the summit, the G8 will likely ask that the UN step in to ease the situation and the developing sanitation issues. This is a priority issue for Italy and will be necessary for the G8 leaders to decide a course of action.
